About Us

Lesley graduated from St.Lawrence College in Kingston and has been successful working behind the chair for over 35 years. Starting her career off by working in Brockville then moving to Kingston over 34 years ago, it never took Lesley long to achieve a large and strong following. Constantly learning her craft, Lesley has taken many classes from Master Colourist with Wella, Deva curl LEVEL 1 cutting, Balayage, and Ruezel Men’s cutting. Lesley is also passionate with the barbering side of things and enjoys not only the cutting side but enjoys Straight Razor shaves as well.

While working behind the chair, Lesley took the opportunity to go back to SLC to be on the other side and teach.  First, she was hired as a technician and then advanced herself to faculty.  The day i think i know everything is the day i will hang up my scissors.  I love my job and love working with others that share the same passion. Learning from others is crucial and with this industry you have to stay current because its changing at a crazy rate.

Matt is a core member of Escape and is a self proclaimed “Barber Stylist”. Anything from a straight razor shave, or a hot towel service, to customizing his male Guests with the best coiffe is Matt’s passion! Graduating from St. Lawrence Kingston with distinction, Matt hasn’t looked back since and is always thirsty to learn new techniques.

Being a bit of an old soul, Matt puts his Guests at ease as soon as they sit in his chair. Listening is one of the most important things to do in a client consultation and Matt really takes the time to understand what our Guest’s needs and wants are. Matt is a creative punk inside and outside of work. You could find deep conversation in any creative field, but his specialties are games of any type and music.

For as long as Natasha can remember she has had a passion for doing hair. As a little girl she would watch her Mom (who worked behind the chair herself) sculpt hair all day which lead Natasha to become a second generation hairstylist following in her Mom’s footsteps. Being in the business for over 30 years Natasha is a very successful hairstylist and loves doing it all. Anything from balayage, foiliage, mens cuts, blowouts, she just loves being behind the chair. Always there to lend a hand to her fellow stylists Natasha shows that working together is important. She stays current by attending classes to keep herself fresh and on point with the fast changing trends.

Tina is Red Seal Certified and been in the business for over 24 years. Most importantly she taking great pride in her consultations to insure the perfect results. Transforming her Guests is the most satisfying thing she does. “I love watching their excitement on their face when I’ve achieved what they are wanting”. She loves doing anything when it comes to hair but enjoys working on razor cuts, fashion colours and mens fades the most. Always learning new techniques Tina stays current with the up and coming techniques.

Moving from Saskatoon, Tina and her family landed in Kingston over 2 years ago. Having an easy and fun personality has made it easy for Tina to build a client base quickly and describes them more like friends and family rather than Guests.

Connie, Escape’s esthetician, has over 35 years of experience. She graduated from Marvel Beauty School in Toronto and calls Kingston her home after many years in the field. Connie prides herself on offering competitive prices while being able to provide top quality services and products, such as; France Laure Skincare, Gehwol Footcare, OPI and Gelish Polishes.

Connie enjoys making her Guests feel at their very best and at their most comfortable while they relax, or even share a joke or two, in her private room.
